In this blog I want to give a huge shout out to a number of busy French artist whom I had the pleasure to meet whilst Sarah and I were in Chambery.
A band I met at a festival in Thiers are releasing their first EP via a crowd funding site in France. These guys rock and they are worth checking out and supporting. They have some great rewards to for backers.

Les Soirées de l'instant created by a wonderful musician Clément Thiery are really taking off and now happening all over France featuring great artists each month. An amazing project and concept of spontaneous live music. Check it out near you!
I have not been the busiest in Dakar, I've played some gigs, and I have performed for other artists playing guitar. I have also recorded with a Senegalese singer, I played guitar on one his tracks on his soon to be released album. I have also been to some gigs, most recently I went to listen to a very well known band called Orchestra Baobab who were awesome. Gigs here start at 11pm with the opening act a short break and then the main act sometime after midnight. Nearly every gig I have been to involves food, that means you sit down and eat a meal rather than buying tickets. A lot of the venues or more like restaurants. I have also been writing and demoing tracks, I took some time out to have a few days to focus on writing songs.
During the World Cup the boys enjoyed lots of colouring and craft activities we organised with them with world cup themes. These pictures show a football pitch we made for a game we invented using bottle caps to score goals.
We watched many games together, it was a really good time to spend with the boys.
